Continuing its global expansion, Rdio has officially announced that its service is live in Australia and New Zealand. Just like everywhere else, it's offering two different plans, a web-only plan plus a premium service that includes access on your mobile phone. While Rdio only made this announcement today, it sounds like the company actually opened up access to those down under over a week ago. Gizmodo Australia reported on January 9th that users in Australia were no longer being geo-blocked from the Rdio site and that you could in fact sign up for a plan. The web-only plan apparently costs AUD$8.90, while mobile access will set you back AUD$12.90 Australian a month.
