Still no word on an official Apple Stream for iPad event, despite claims made by 9to5Mac

Journalizing is hard. Spotting fake Twitter accounts is even harderer. 9to5Mac published an article stating that Apple won’t provide a live stream of the iPad 3 event tomorrow.

The post, titled Apple will NOT be live streaming tomorrow’s iPad event, read:

..or so says SVP of MArketing Phil Schiller via Twitter … Apple won’t be live streaming the event tomorrow. But as always, it will be available on our homepage right after the event is over.

In the article, Seth Weintraub linked to an alleged tweet from Philip Schiller. However, the account they linked to belonged to none other than the one, the only, pschiiler. That’s two i’s and not two l’s.

The real account of Philip Schiller hasn’t tweeted since the 4th of March.

There very well may not be a live stream tomorrow, but Philip Schiller did not announce it on Twitter. We’ll let you know if/when we hear something official.

Update: Looks like the 9to5 team deleted the post instead of provide an update to their readers. Looks like AppleInsider ripped off 9to5Mac without checking themselves… then pulled the story.
