Microsoft's and Nokia's partnership hasn't been great for Symbian — it has seen Nokia commit to Windows Phone, after all — but at least those who have recently upgraded to Belle will have something to thank the software giant for. Nokia has announced that its first installment of Microsoft Apps are now available on Belle devices. The package includes the powerful note-taking tool OneNote, the business communication and IM client Lync, a document viewer and manager called Document Connection, and PowerPoint Broadcast, which lets you follow live presentations on your phone.

While some of these apps already exist on other mobile platforms, we're sure business users will appreciate the free additions. You'll notice that none of the heavy-hitting Microsoft Office applications have made an apperance yet, though Nokia promises that staples like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will arrive with the next installment "in the coming months." For now, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7, Nokia Oro, Nokia 700, Nokia 701, Nokia 603 users should see an update for the new apps, while support for the Nokia N8, Nokia E6 and Nokia 500 will be coming soon.
