Nokia Drive ported to other WP7 handsets?

Following its introduction on the Lumia 800 and 710, Nokia's headline 'Drive' app has been seen on other handsets.

One of Nokia's biggest selling points over the past few years has been free turn-by-turn navigation on all of its smartphones. This has extended to the company's pair of Lumia phones, the 800 and 710, which were the first Windows Phones to receive the new exclusive Nokia Drive app. However, the ever-inventive modding community has already managed to shoehorn Drive onto a Samsung Omnia 7, according to a forum post at the Chinese site WPXAP.com. The original post includes a screenshot, but says that the developer is yet to release the actual XAP package that would allow users to sideload the app — something that's now possible thanks to the newly released Chevron WP7 tool.

The forum post has now been pulled (we've included a cached copy in the links below), suggesting either copyright became an issue or that all was not as it seemed. However, if it does turn out to be true, the implications for Nokia's strategy to differentiate through software could be serious.
