Murdochs Are Re-Elected Amid Protest
News Corp.’s board and management “will stop at nothing to get to the bottom” of a phone hacking scandal at the company’s U.K. newspaper unit “and put it right,” Chairman and Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch, told shareholders Friday.
Mr. Murdoch and his two sons, Lachlan and James, were re-elected to the company’s board, along with other directors, despite what was expected to be a significant protest vote. The company said full voting tallies will be released next week.
