Oh, you're like this, too, don't lie. Everyone is. For example, "real Maine" to me requires you to drive at least an hour north of Portland. Or even more to the point, "real Connecticut" to me is the half on the eastern side of the Connecticut River - never mind that 4/5 of the state's population is on the other side. You surely have examples as well.

The only difference between natives and hipsters? Since a visitor will never make it to 'real (place name)', no matter how close they get, a native never needs to worry about (place name) getting too popular to be cool.
