London Irish have signed utility back Myles Dorrian on a two-year deal from Exeter Chiefs.

Dorrian, who is on loan at Championship side Bedford Blues, is able to play fly half, centre or full back.

The 30-year-old Sydney-born Australian has made nine appearances for Exeter during his time at the club.

"He's a seasoned professional with a great attitude and work ethic," said London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith.

Smith added: "Myles understands the game and has the ability to make things happen and he'll provide even more experience as a play caller."

While in Australia Dorrian spent time with both the Brumbies and Waratahs before making the trip across to Europe.

"I'm looking forward to linking up with London Irish next season," said Dorrian.

"I have enjoyed playing at Exeter and coming back to Bedford towards the back end of this season; but it is time for a new test and London Irish is a great place to take on this new challenge."
