Racy Billboard Removed for the Second Time

AVONDALE — A racy billboard featuring former Charlie Sheen "goddess" and porn star Bree Olson has once again been taken down after only a week.

The billboard for ArrangementFinders.com with the message "Because the best job is a b--w job," was taken down sometime over the weekend.

Neither ArrangementFinders.com nor the local billboard company, Urban Core Outdoor, returned responded to requests for comment Monday afternoon.

The billboard was met with mixed reviews when it appeared in Avondale on March 8, after being removed from its first location in River North.

Owners and management of Portillo's were disgusted by the billboard, which was perched on the restaurant's roof.

The manager of Spin Cycle, the laundromat whose roof was home to the Avondale billboard, echoed that sentiment.

"It's sucks. It's not good at all," Phillip Shim said. "It's kind of ridiculous. I don't know why they put up that kind of sign."

It was unclear exactly when the billboard was taken down.

It was up Friday morning, but Shim said he believes it was taken down sometime that same day.

Martha Ramos, chief of staff for Ald. Rey Colon (35th), said the office did not receive any complaints about the billboard.

"We were kind of in shock," she said. "We thought we would."

She speculated that perhaps the recent influx of young artists and "free-spirited" people in the ward had produced a more lax attitude in the neighborhood.

"When we have that kind of situation, we keep a special log with the names and information [of people who complain], and we have nothing on it," she said. "The only people we've heard from are the media."

Ramos reiterated that the alderman does not have authority to review which billboards go up in his ward.
