Adam Savage, co-host of MythBusters and prop maker extraordinaire, has a huge vault of pop culture relics, and he's written before about making his own versions of the pistol Harrison Ford uses in Blade Runner. So it's no surprise that he can talk well and at length about his own collection of blaster replicas, as he does in the Tested video below. Savage says that while people have been trying to put together details on Ford's gun for decades, it could only really be examined when the original prop was auctioned off in 2009: "That's when many things were both confirmed and figured out to be not correct." Since then, the mystery around it has diminished, but Savage's collection remains fascinating: it includes a model cast from a mold of the gun while it was still being completed, as well as an all-metal replica of an early sketch that never made it into the movie.
