Finsbury Park street attack victim dies

A man who was attacked and left unconscious in a street three days ago has died.

Police have started a murder investigation after the 45-year-old was found on Isledon Road, in Finsbury Park area of north London on Tuesday.

Matthew Fallon, of Garwood Close in Tottenham, had suffered a serious head injury. He died on Thursday from bleeding on the brain, tests found.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody.

Mr Fallon was found on Tuesday evening and subsequently taken to the Royal London Hospital where he died on Thursday night.
