A driver has been killed in a crash involving two cars in Surrey.

It happened when the man, in his 60s, was driving on to the Six Crossroads roundabout in Woking just after 18:00 GMT on Wednesday.

A Surrey Police spokesman said his Volvo mounted an island before hitting a road sign and a Ford Fiesta.

The man, from London, died at the scene. The other driver was uninjured, the spokesman said. Officers are appealing for witnesses.
