Slough woman, 89, dies after A4 Bath Road crash

An elderly woman has died after being injured when the car she was travelling in crashed into a traffic island.

The 89-year-old, from Slough, was a passenger in a silver Daewoo Matiz when the crash happened on the A4 Bath Road around 18:20 GMT on Sunday.

She was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment but died from her injuries on Wednesday.

The driver, an elderly woman, was also injured but later discharged. Police have appealed for witnesses.
