According to Apple, Google has yet to submit Google Now for iOS to the App Store. In fact, a company representative tells The Verge that not a single app from Mountain View is currently in the review process — let alone trapped in limbo. That would include both new applications and updates to existing software, meaning even if Google Now is to eventually arrive as a new feature of Google's Search app, it has yet to be received by Apple's team of reviewers. Apple's stance directly contrasts with what Google chairman Eric Schmidt suggested earlier today, when he told an audience at a company summit that they would need to "ask Apple" about the status of Google Now on iOS.
Update: All Things D's John Paczkowski reports on Twitter that Google hasn't submitted Google now.
Google: "We have not submitted Google Now to Apple's App Store."
