Pimlico stabbing: Murder accused Ahmed Mikhaimar remanded

A 19-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he appeared at the Old Bailey charged with a stabbing a teenager to death in central London.

Ahmed Mikhaimar, of Vauxhall Bridge Road, Victoria, is charged with murdering Hani Abou El Kheir.

Hani, 16, died from multiple stab wounds after he was attacked in Lupus Street, Pimlico, on 27 January.

Mr Mikhaimar is due to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on 26 April.

A 20-year-old man and three youths, aged 16, 17 and 18, were also arrested on suspicion of Hani's murder and have all been released on bail.

Four other people were held on suspicion of assisting an offender - a man aged 48, a woman of 47 and two girls aged 16 and 17 - and have also been released.
