Drink-drive arrest after six-hour A21 closure

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after the A21 was closed for six hours following a collision.

The A21 was closed near the junction with the A25 at Sevenoaks after the crash at 22:25 GMT on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old man from Caterham was driving a white Vauxhall van when it was in collision with a blue Nissan on the northbound carriageway.

The female driver of the Nissan was taken to hospital in London and treated for minor injuries.

Kent Police have asked for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
