The president's wife: Sally Field on Spielberg's Lincoln

Oscar-winning actress Sally Field is being tipped as a potential nominee in the 2013 awards season for her role as the president's wife in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln.

Lincoln follows the eponymous president's bid to end slavery in North America. It also examines the relationship between Abraham Lincoln, played by Daniel Day-Lewis, and his wife, Mary.

Field spoke to Talking Movies' Tom Brook about method acting, working with Day-Lewis and 'Oscar campaigns'.

Talking Movies is broadcast on BBC World News on Saturday at 13:30 GMT and Sunday at 00:30, 07:30 and 20:30 GMT.
