Your pictures: Ice
Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is ice and we begin with an image sent in by Marcin Gwizdon of the icy formations in the Low Tatra mountains in Slovakia.
Phillip Lane: "A team of workers carving an astonishing sculpture at The Harbin China International Ice Festival, Beijing, 2013."
Susi Pucci: "Ice is a comfy home for this leopard seal in Antarctica."
Ross Bennie: "Icy patterns on my perfectly plain attic window after a cold night. Was Jack Frost inspired by William Morris?"
George Olney: "My reaction, on my first US adventure, when I saw steaming ice, was one of awe. Kodachrome, early 1970s, Yellowstone Park Hot Springs"
Oona Tully: "Taken at The War Memorial Gardens, Islandbridge, Dublin, Ireland."
Miranda Edridge, Gothenburg, Sweden: "Global warming?"
Paul Wilde, UK: "Skating ducks in Abbey Meadows in Redditch."
Alan Holmwood: "Hope they warm the seat."
Ania Stasiak: "My boyfriend pretending he is an iceman trapped under the ice for centuries."
And finally a photo of Aaron Schmitt's dog Dune in Wisconsin. The next theme is "tradition" and the deadline for your entries is 5 February. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to yourpics@bbc.co.uk. Further details and terms can be found by following the link below this gallery.
