WICKER PARK— Looking for a way to reward yourselves for staying in town this weekend and saving the money that you'd have spent on a holiday jaunt?
A new Sunday brunch at Storefront Company might be just the ticket.
Every item on the extensive menu, which has been organized into three main categories of 'shared,' 'sweet,' and 'savory,' is compliments of Chef Bryan Moscatello with one catch: a $150 bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne.
Yes, you have to purchase the chilled golden yellow bottle of bubbly made by the oldest champagne house in France, founded in 1729, but once you get past the pricetag, there's a number of dishes to sample on the new menu.
Moscatello told DNAinfo.com Chicago that his personal favorite dish is the venison sausage skillet with sunchokes, mushroom, onions, mustard and poached eggs.
"I'm a big venison guy and I love sunchokes, that's why," Moscatello said.
The full package includes: a house made pastry basket to share, two shared dishes of the guests’ choice, two sides, one sweets dish and one savory dish (or two of either), La Colombe Coffee Service, and of course, that bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne you purchased to wash it all down and secure your spot at the table.
Moscatello says the brunch promotion will go on until the restaurant runs out of bubbly.
Storefront Company is located at 1941 W. North Ave. Sunday brunch hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling 773-661-2609.
