Man remanded over Christian-Gnanakumar fight death

A man has appeared court charged with murder after a man died following a fight on a road in south-east London.

Aathavan Rajakumar, 24, of no fixed address, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of Thierry Christian-Gnanakumar.

Mr Christian-Gnanakumar, 22, of Catford, south-east London, was fatally injured outside a library in Lewisham High Street on 10 November.

Mr Rajakumar was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Jius James Vijashinghe, 27, of Baizdon Road, Blackheath; Kaviloan Venayakamoorthy, 23, of Eastdown Park, Lewisham; Kohulan Podiappuhamey, 24, of Woodyates Road, Lee; Jayruban Vivekananthan, 26, of Nightingale Heights, Woolwich; and Pirunthan Kunaratatnam, 23, of Arkindale Road, Catford, have all previously appeared in court charged with murder.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey at a later date.
