CHICAGO — A sick passenger who was taken to the hospital from the Green Line caused brief delays on Loop "L" trains Tuesday morning.

The passenger needed to be taken to a local hospital about 8:35 a.m., CTA spokeswoman Tammy Chase said. The incident led the CTA to reroute three trains to the outer Loop tracks, including trains on the Pink and Purple lines.

Passengers experienced delays of about 14 minutes after the incident, along with some residual delays after the reroute was over at 8:49 a.m.
