Abuse alert system for hospitals 'overdue'

An online system to identify children who may be in danger of abuse or neglect is to be created for use in hospitals across England.

Dr Simon Eccles is a consultant in emergency medicine at Homerton Hospital in London.

He says the new system is overdue and will help doctors make difficult decisions.
