Man in East Sussex court on child abduction charge

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court in East Sussex on a child abduction charge.
The man appeared at Eastbourne Magistrates' Court earlier and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
No application for bail was made during the hearing.
Magistrate Nick Letherby told the accused his case would be heard again on 17 October, when he will appear via videolink.
