Update to Google Chrome Beta for Android adds support for WebGL

Try out 3D graphics and few other experimental features.

Late yesterday, Google released an update for Chrome Beta on the Android platform. The update contains bug fixes for known issues such as random flickering that occurs when opening a new tab. It also fixes an issue that freezes devices that utilize a particular Qualcomm GPU driver.

Additionally, Chrome Beta now has user access to chrome://flags, a hidden menu page that offers up many experimental features, including support for WebGL, a JavaScript API for rendering 3D and 2D graphics within the browser without the need for a plugin.

Other experimental features include an FPS counter, which shows a page's actual frame rate, and the ability to disable accelerated CSS animations. If you're curious, you can navigate to the page yourself from the Chrome browser to take a look, or download Chrome Beta for your Android device. As an aside, both Chrome and Chrome Beta are two separate applications.
