Thousands of pounds worth of costume and imitation jewellery has been stolen from a garden centre in Surrey.

The items had an estimated retail value of about £15,000 and included Holly Yashi jewellery imported from the US.

Details of the burglary at the Bourne Valley Garden Centre, in Woodham, during the early hours of 30 December have only just been released by police.

Acting Det Con Barrington Goffe said anyone offered jewellery in suspicious circumstances should contact the force.

He added that officers had been making inquiries with second-hand shops and other local businesses.
