The Labour leader Ed Miliband has maintained his post-conference speech bounce in the polls, with an 11-point lead.

His party is on 41% to the Tory party's 30%, according to the latest Observer/Opinium poll. The Liberal Democrats are on 9% and UKIP are on 10%.

Miliband's approval rating is also still better than it was before his conference speech at -12% compared to a pre-conference -17%. David Cameron had a net rating of -19%.

Meanwhile 58% of British respondents (and 62% of likely UK voters) think that an Obama victory next Tuesday would be better for Britain than a Romney victory.

Even among Conservatives, only 13% chose Mitt Romney.

Nearly two-thirds (62%) believed that an Obama victory would be the best outcome for the UK.

Opinium Research carried out an online survey of 1,966 British adults aged 18+ from 31 October to 1 November 2012.

Results have been weighted to nationally representative criteria. Full polling results are at the Opinium website
