Mayor bids to get London pedicabs off streets

London's mayor Boris Johnson is calling for a change in the law so that pedicabs can be banned from the capital's streets.

More than 300 pedicab drivers have been arrested in the West End in the past year for offences such as dangerous riding and cycling on the pavement.

Mr Johnson wants them to be taken off the road if they do not meet safety standards.
