A double-decker bus full of college students has overturned in a field in Dorset.

More than 50 teenagers were on the bus, which was heading to Kingston Maurward college in Dorchester.

Dorset police said three passengers and the driver were treated for minor injuries.

The accident happened on the A350 near Poole shortly after 8.15am on Monday. The bus ended up on its side and no other vehicle was involved.

A police spokesman said: "Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the A350 after reports that a school bus had overturned in a field.

"Three people and the driver were treated for minor injuries, and all those on board were moved to safety while they wait for replacement transport."

The road was closed temporarily.
