How to make organic chewing gum the Mayan way
Alfredo Rodriguez Arzate is a Mexican gum harvester who, like his Mayan ancestors before him, searches the forests of Chetumal for chico zapote trees.
The trees' sap can be made into natural, organic chewing which biodegrades much faster than conventional, oil-based gum.
