Here at CES, Monster and EA Sports just announced the MVP Carbon, a gaming headset compatible with PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and Wii U. Monster says the headphones, which represent its first foray into gaming accessories, offer simulated 5.1 surround sound (High Definition Headphone Surround, as the company calls it) and contain powerful 30MM drivers. There's an integrated microphone for voice chat, naturally, and much like offerings from Turtle Beach and Astro, the package also includes a standalone headphone amplifier, which Monster is dubbing the Gamebox. The company brought boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard on stage at its press event to showcase the gaming cans. The MVP Carbon headset is slated to be available in both black and white starting in February 2013 for $269.95.
