Kodak announces licensing agreement with JK Imaging for cameras and projectors

Kodak has had its share of woes in the past few years, including a bankruptcy, a selling off of most of its assets, and the exiting of most of its business markets. Today, it's announcing a new licensing agreement which could see some form of new Kodak products — at least in name — hit the shelves in the coming year. The agreement is with JK Imaging, and will allow the company to produce Kodak-branded cameras, camcorders and projectors. Kodak says that JK Imaging plans on releasing its first products in the opening quarter of 2013.

"Kodak remains a strong and trustworthy brand in the consumer space and this agreement reinforces how valuable our brand is," said Laura Quatela, President of Kodak in the press release statement. The terms of this deal have not been disclosed.
