Putney attack victim dies in hospital

A man has died in hospital after he was injured in an attack outside a pub in south-west London.
The 46-year-old victim was assaulted outside the Duke's Head in Lower Richmond Road, Putney, at about 00:30 GMT on Sunday.
The Metropolitan Police said he was taken to a south London hospital with serious head injuries but died shortly before 18:00 GMT.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
