Robbery charge after 91-year-old mugged in Highgate

A man has been charged after a 91-year-old woman was injured during a mugging in north London, the Metropolitan Police has said.

The victim suffered a head injury, bruising and a broken arm when she was attacked near Talbot Road on Thursday afternoon while shopping in Highgate.

Eric Banton, 49, of Northumberland Park, Tottenham, has been charged with robbery.

Mr Banton will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
