An image of a missing teenager from south London is to be displayed on the big screen at Crystal Palace's home game against Brighton on Saturday.

Shelley Pratt, 14, from Croydon, was last seen three weeks ago on the afternoon of 8 November, after she got off a bus.

Metropolitan Police said she had not contacted friends or family since then.

It is possible she may be with someone in a house or a flat, the force spokesman said.

The teenager was last seen after she got off a bus outside the Harris Academy in South Norwood, before walking down Portland Road with another girl and a boy.

She was wearing her school uniform which consisted of a dark purple hooded jumper with the slogan 'I [heart symbol] London.'

Shelley's parents Lisa and Tony Pratt made a direct plea to their daughter to come home.

Det Ch Insp Mark Dunne said concerns for her safety were "increasing by the day".

He encouraged people to be vigilant about any young people who were new to their area.

Officers will be handing out leaflets to shoppers in Croydon town centre over the weekend.
