Want to stream HD video to your TV from more devices? So does the outfit behind the Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) standard. AMIMON wants to see its technology integrated into third party chipsets, and is now licensing its intellectual property to other companies. The IP up for lease promises low power, low latency two-way data links that work in parallel with video. CEO Ram Ofir hopes the technology will be adopted in mobile, automotive, camera and defense markets. "This license complements AMIMON's current product offerings for the WHDI and AMIMON Professional markets," he said. "We believe that by opening up our IP, we enhance the global ecosystem for wireless High-Definition connectivity and create new options for consumers and new business opportunities for manufacturers." AMIMON Licenses Wireless Video Transmission Technology
AMIMON demonstrates control of touchscreen via Windows 8 with WHDI at CES 2013
Tel Aviv, Israel - December 14, 2012 – AMIMON, the founder of the Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) standard, announced today that it will add to its growing product offering the ability to license its IP and technology to semiconductor and consumer electronics brands. The technology is used in WHDI consumer products today to wirelessly transmit the highest quality HD content throughout the home. Amimon continues to add new features and improvements over those currently found in WHDI, such as support for video rates up to 4Kx2K, multicast, advanced control links, and increased range.
AMIMON will demonstrate its latest Amimon Pro and WHDI product offerings, at The Las Vegas Hotel, January 8-11 at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The licensed technology from AMIMON will enable wireless delivery of uncompressed HDTV in multiple rooms while surpassing competitive technology with consistent picture quality equivalent to a wired HDMI™ cable. AMIMON will license its technology and IP for integration into third party chipsets – enabling next generation products in the CE, PC and mobile markets. Other aspects of the new IP include lower latency, a two-way data link in parallel with the video, and lower power consumption. The technology will be configured for each specific market to optimize for range, power and resolution.

Visitors to the AMIMON suite (Las Vegas Hotel #23121) at CES 2013 will be able to see demonstrations of AMIMON's technology driving a wireless touch screen using Windows 8, enabling a real time wireless video link between the base processing unit and the display.
