Geminid meteor shower: Your Photos
The annual Geminids meteor shower has been radiating from a point near the star Castor, in the constellation Gemini. The BBC has received images of the event from people who witnessed it. This is the view from Yamazoe village, Nara Prefecture in Japan, sent in by Chuuyuu Yamato.

This meteor shower was taken by Ivan Hawick in the Shetlands, Scotland: “The sky was completely clear here. I could see eight meteors a minute at times. One I saw burnt so bright – it was a lovely blue colour. The meteors were going in all directions.”
