The announcement of the Lumia 920's Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature earlier this month was marred by scandal when it emerged that Nokia had faked one of its most impressive adverts. Luckily for the Finnish company, an enterprising Russian tester has found a new way to demonstrate that the feature is, in fact, all it's cracked up to be, strapping a Lumia 920 and a Samsung Galaxy S III to a radio controlled car and playing the resulting video side-by-side.

While it's not entirely clear who the video's creator is, or why they have access to the phone, the results speak for themselves, with the Lumia showing a clear and stable image against the S III's bumps and jerks — it's hardly a Steadicam, but it should make a noticeable difference in everyday use, particularly with movements that are wider and less sudden than those of the car.
