Las Vegas, N.V. – January 7, 2013 – Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, which has the largest reach of any radio or television outlet in America, today launched new features for its iHeartRadio digital radio platform that will change how users interact with the popular and fast-growing service. Beginning today, iHeartRadio will offer listeners a new "Perfect For" feature, which will allow users to choose from thousands of carefully curated stations based on a range of moods and activities.

iHeartRadio also unveiled a new alarm clock feature which will give users the ability to utilize the service as an alarm clock or to set reminders. With the previously launched Sleep Timer, iHeartRadio now allows users to fall asleep and wake up to their favorite radio station.

In addition to iHeartRadio's 1,500 live stations and user-created custom stations based on a catalog of more than 400,000 artists and 15 million songs, listeners can now select the new "Perfect For" feature to browse through a menu of moods and activities perfect for a particular day and time. For example, early morning users might see stations that are perfect for waking up, running, driving, getting ready for work or even 'keeping the previous night going'. Once a user makes a selection, they are presented with several applicable genres or themes, each of which contains four station suggestions. iHeartRadio's stations catalog spans a variety of themes including "Took My Wife, Took My Dog: Country's Greatest Break-up Music," "Full House: Gambling with Beats," "Skinny Jeans: Boys with Guitars," "Ambien-T: Ambient Music, Prescription Strength" and many more. "Perfect For" will also suggest live radio stations to users based off of the mood or activity they select.

"This new feature makes it even easier for listeners to find the perfect soundtrack for every moment in their day, setting the mood and helping them discover great new music," said Brian Lakamp, President of Digital for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. "The 'Perfect For' feature is our latest addition to enhance iHeartRadio's already incredible offerings."

Launching today at 12 p.m. ET, iHeartRadio will offer thousands of "Perfect For" stations and will initially be available for iPhones and PCs, but users can save "Perfect For" stations on these devices and access them via any device where iHeartRadio is available. The feature will be available on other mobile and tablet devices soon.

In addition to "Perfect For," a new alarm clock feature also announced today will allow users to not only wake up to iHeartRadio, but also to set reminders. For example, fans of Z100's "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" can set the app to turn on just as the show begins or when they know a particular call-in contest is running. Alarm clock will launch on iPhones and will be available on other devices soon.

iHeartRadio is the fastest digital service to reach 20 million registered users in internet history, faster than all other popular digital entertainment and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, Spotify and Instagram. And registered users are only a percentage of iHeartRadio's overall listeners, since registration is only required for the Custom Station feature.

iHeartRadio continues to be the No. 1 digital radio service offering instant access to more than 1,500 of the nation's most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations from more than 150 cities, plus user-created Custom Stations inspired by favorite artists and songs. In addition to Clear Channel's 850 radio stations, iHeartRadio also includes a number of other groups such as Univision, Cumulus, Greater Media stations, WNYC, EMF's Contemporary Christian Air1 and K Love stations, college radio, Cox, Emmis and others. The iHeartRadio app is available across all major platforms including web, mobile, tablets, automotive, television and gaming devices. Visit iHeartRadio.com for the complete list of app availability.
