Preview: The History Of Sex At Hampton Court Palace

A touch of sauce comes to Hampton Court Palace later this month, with an evening devoted to historical rumpy-pumpy. Dr Faramerz Dabhoiwala of the University of Oxford will discuss how British attitudes to sex altered in the 17th and 18th centuries as society became more permissive, from the noted bedroom conquests of Merry Monarch Charles II to the rise of media gossip about who was sleeping with whom. The event takes place on Thursday 27 September, 6.30-8pm and costs £12 including a wine reception. Book here.
