Today's Weather: Flirting With History

We've had a year of historic weather, so why not challenge a 63-year-old high temperature today? That's what Skilling Central says we could be doing as the mercury climbs like the American Eagle at Great America before that first, harrowing descent. Skilling predicts a high of 70; the record for this date is 71, set in 1949. The warmth is the only good part of this forecast— we'll still lumber around today under overcast skies, gusty winds and an isolated shower.
