Lewisham A&E fight moves to Downing Street

The fight to save services at Lewisham Hospital went to the heart of government when a petition with 32,000 signatures was presented to 10 Downing Street on Friday.

It was part of the protest against proposals to close the A&E at Lewisham by administrators who are trying to rescue the neighbouring South London Healthcare Trust, which is in dire financial difficulties.
