M25 lorries damaged at Waltham Abbey as bricks thrown

Four lorries were damaged after bricks were dropped from a footbridge above the M25.

The drivers of two lorries and two recovery trucks reported their vehicles damaged at 18:25 GMT on Tuesday.

The bricks were dropped from a footbridge near Lodge Lane, Waltham Abbey. Nobody was injured.

Five 13-year-old boys were arrested at Beechfield Walk in Waltham Abbey on suspicion of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life.

Police have urged witnesses to contact them.
