Pilot dies in light aircraft crash near Salisbury

A pilot died when a light aircraft crashed in a field in Wiltshire, police have said.
It happened at about 16:20 BST on Wednesday in the Clarendon area, near Salisbury, Wiltshire police said.
The pilot, who has not been identified, was the only person on board the aircraft, police confirmed. Next of kin have been informed.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has begun an investigation into the cause of the crash.
