Motorola and Verizon still haven't gotten around to updating the Droid Bionic to Android 4.0, but a recently leaked ROM can get Ice Cream Sandwich up and running on your handset right at this very moment. Best of all, the 4.0.4 software upgrade can allegedly be applied via stock recover without any need to root your device, suggesting that this particular build has been authenticated by Verizon. That doesn't necessarily mean this represents the final release the carrier will be pushing to users whenever it does decide to flip the switch, so don't be surprised to see the occasional hiccup here and there. Installing the official update may also prove to be a challenge for Android novices since you're veering off the sanctioned upgrade path. Still, if you're no longer willing to wait for the added functionality and optimizations that come with ICS, this method should be relatively painless. Just be sure you've got the latest software loaded up on your Droid Bionic before getting started.
