Sony announced a trio of new cameras only a few weeks ago, but the company wasn't done: it announced a whopping nine new shooters today, across its H and TW series of its Cyber-shot lineup. The two banner models of the bunch are the DSC-HX200V superzoom, which offers 30x zoom, and the HX30V, which has Wi-Fi built in. The Wi-Fi implementation was done particularly cleverly, too: it works over an ad-hoc network, connecting directly to your phone or computer a la an Eye-Fi card. The camera works with companion PlayMemories apps for Android and iOS, and it's impressively easy to transfer photos onto your phone from your camera and then share them on the internet. It's Sony's way of acknowledging that you own a smartphone, even while trying to convince you that you need a camera, too. Both cameras also have 18.2-megapixel CMOS sensors, 3-inch, 921,000-dot LCDs, and GPS functionality. The HX200V will cost about $480 when it goes on sale this month, and the HX30V will run you $420 when it hits the market in May.

Sony replenished the rest of its lineup, too, with much the same ethos as its January announcement: differentiate from smartphone cameras by adding more zoom, more megapixels, and better performance. Even the $180 DSC-W690 has a 16.1-megapixel CCD sensor, and most of the others have an 18.2-megapixel CMOS. There's a camera here for every conceivable need — from the DSC-TX66, a rugged camera that's waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, and freezeproof, to the DSC-WX150 and DSC-W690, "the world's thinnest 10x optical zoom cameras." All will be available between March and May, and will cost between $180 and $350.
