CHICAGO — Police are continuing to investigate a Chicago Lawn car lot after finding several stolen cars, parts and construction equipment there, they said.

Police used a search warrant to investigate the lot in the 6400 block of South Bell Avenue about 8 p.m. Wednesday, said Officer John Mirabelli, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

They found 10 stolen items, including cars, car parts and equipment, Mirabelli said. More cars were confiscated, but police did not know if they were stolen, he said.

Thursday morning, police were trying to determine where the stolen goods came from, Mirabelli said.

The lot's owner was taken into custody but had not been charged, according to Mirabelli.
