Rapper and former I'm A Celebrity contestant Aggro Santos has been cleared of raping two girls in hotel rooms following two separate gigs.

Brazilian-born Mr Santos, 24, who denied the charges, was acquitted by a jury at Chichester Crown Court.

He was accused of raping a woman in a hotel room in Yeovil, Somerset, in September 2010, and a 16-year-old girl in Chichester, West Sussex, in 2011.

Mr Santos, whose real name is Yuri Santos, said the sex was consensual.

The court heard Mr Santos, of Bickersteth Road in Tooting, south-west London, told detectives questioning him about the Chichester rape allegation: "I would never have done that.

"It goes against everything I have been brought up with, my morals and my pride.

"It's a really, really big card to pull out on someone."

His friend Tyrelle Ritchie, 22, was also cleared of oral rape following the seven-day trial.

Mr Santos' debut single, Candy, featuring former Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt, reached number five in the UK charts in 2010.

He became more widely known through his appearance in that year's series of ITV's reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in which he reached the final six.
