Bowers & Wilkins 805 Maserati Edition looks like the inside of a really nice car

You know what your life is missing? A speaker that looks like the inside of a high-end luxury car. Thankfully, Zeppelin-maker Bowers & Wilkins has just the thing for you. The 805 Maserati Edition is the result of a partnership with the Italian automaker, building on the 805 Diamond speakers with the addition of black leather, bird's eye maple and the car company's trident logo. The speaker hits audio stores come fall, and later this year, it'll be joined by what we assume will be equally extravagant P5 Maserati Edition headphones.

Today, Bowers & Wilkins are pleased to launch an exciting new loudspeaker to celebrate the partnership between Bowers & Wilkins and Maserati. The 805 Maserati Edition provides a twist on the highly-regarded 805 Diamond, by incorporating elements of the luxurious interior of a Maserati car. Combining the unbeatable audio performance of Bowers & Wilkins, and the understated opulence of Maserati, the 805 Maserati Edition is the perfect piece of audio kit for music lovers.

The speaker of choice for the world's most demanding ears and minds, Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Diamond range is steeped in audio and design innovation. The 805 Maserati Edition features numerous, state of the art audio technologies, including Bowers & Wilkins' Diamond Dome Tweeter, and delivers a listening experience synonymous with the culture and heritage of both brands.

The 805 Maserati Edition is crafted from materials that reflect the partnership: the exquisite bird's eye maple real wood veneer and black Maserati leather reflect the luxurious interior of the brand's cars, and the speaker stand that forms an integral part of the 805 Maserati Edition is finished with the same polished wood veneer and features the Maserati Trident. The Trident has been part of the Maserati identity since 1926, and was designed by Mario Maserati based upon the statue of Neptune in the fountain of Bologna's Piazza Maggiore.

Bowers & Wilkins will also be celebrating this partnership by launching a P5 Maserati Edition headphone in late 2013.
