Nokia unveiled its Lumia 925 today alongside the promise of a future "amber" update to its Lumia range of Windows Phones in July. Nokia's Lumia 925 is already running the next Windows Phone 8 update and it appears to include international support for podcasts alongside FM radio. I got a chance to look at the update, and the podcasts support in the Store and Music hubs both works with the device region set to UK. You're able to subscribe to podcasts, a feature previously only available on US devices.

FM radio requires a headset to function, but this is also part of Microsoft's next Windows Phone update. Microsoft originally shipped this support with Windows Phone 7, but Windows Phone 8 lacked the software support. Apart from these additions, it doesn't look like Microsoft is making many additional changes. There's a setting to alter the default app that triggers when the camera button is pushed, but there's no significant changes elsewhere. I looked for the promised CalDAV and CardDAV support, but adding accounts was disabled in this test build. Nokia says the update should be available to its existing Lumia users in July.

Update: Microsoft says the update is coming to existing Windows Phones this summer, with support for Data Sense on additional carriers and CalDAV and CardDAV support.
