Microsoft CIO Tony Scott Clicks on “Restart”
Tony Scott, Microsoft’s chief information officer, has left his post after five years at the software giant.
Scott’s LinkedIn profile lists him as the company’s former CIO, and Seattle-area tech-news site GeekWire reported his departure was announced to Microsoft staff last week.
“Tony Scott decided to depart Microsoft to focus on personal projects,” Microsoft said in a statement to GeekWire. “While at Microsoft, Tony was a strong IT leader passionate about taking Microsoft’s technology to the next level and using our experiences and learnings to help customers and partners.”
VP Jim Dubois will serve as interim CIO, according to GeekWire.
