Lists might not be Twitter’s most popular feature, but for those who use them, the hard limit of 20 different groups could be an aggravating roadblock on the way to an efficient, compartmentalized stream of tweets. Thankfully, Twitter announced that it has increased the limit to 1,000 lists, each of which can include up to 5,000 accounts (up from 500), so even the most hardcore users should be able to make do. The 20-list cap had been in place since the feature launched in 2009, so today’s announcement should come as a relief to all the people laboring under the restriction for the past four years.
